Join 516 ARTS and guest curator Lea Anderson in welcoming visiting San Francisco-based artist Melissa Gwyn to Albuquerque for a unique presentation and talk at CNM's Smith-Brasher Hall. Gwyn will give a presentation on her decades long painterly preoccupation with surface, illusion, rupture and revelation. In paintings that are non-representational and realistic, kitschy and substantial, Gwyn's work rests between the idiosyncratic and the political.
