Public Art I and II are taught in the Art Department as undergraduate studio art electives. Art students and students in other UC departments (with faculty approval) are invited to join Public Art I (lower division) and Public Art II (upper division) to learn more about making and proposing art for public places.

The program explores public art in it's many manifestations; from site specific projects, to temporary public interventions, to permanent public sculpture, to web art and beyond. Please see our full description of courses.
