Amber-Rose Kelly - Multimedia Installation for Irwin 2017
By incorporating mediums like digital media, sculpture and photography, Amber Rose Kelly recreates a sense-memory of her traumatic lived experiences. Her bravery in sharing these life-altering events shines through, as she brings awareness to the injustices queer people must endure on a daily basis throughout their lifetimes.
Amber Rose’s recent installation, titled Interrogation, is about the process one must go through when reporting that they have been raped. Her work attempts not only to heal, but also to actively try to change the way people view it within our society. This piece explores the process one must take in order to seek justice within our system, and provides strength and empowerment for survivors.
