Art Major Academic Advising

Welcome to Undergraduate Advising for the Art Department!

We're glad you're here! It's never too early to begin planning your degree path or to simply ask about our programs, classes or productions. If you're not familiar with our program, this video gives a great introduction, as does our catalog page. Check them out!

Throughout the year we'll add enrollment information, campus resources, career resources, and more. Keep checking this page!

For Advising questions:

Cyrus Howard (they/them) is the Academic Advisor for the Art BA program here at UCSC.

They are available throughout the year to advise on degree declaration and course requirements, courses offerings, to help you define your academic goals, to create an academic plan to assure timely graduation, and to assist with other bureaucratic petitions, etc., as well as to guide you to other appropriate faculty and staff as needed.

I have appointment availability through Navigate Slug Success. If you don't see any availability, please feel free to send an email to with your questions. If Slug Success does not show any availability, it means my appointments are full for now, but you can always check back later as I add more appointments weekly!
