Baskin Visual Arts D101 - Seminar Room
Dawn Weleski of Conflict Kitchen
Conflict Kitchen is a take-out
restaurant that exclusively serves
cuisine from countries with which
the United States is in conflict.
Every six months, the take-out style
storefront rotates to highlight a
different country. The restaurant
is a site of ever-changing ethnic
diversity in the post-industrial city
of Pittsburgh. Conflict Kitchen is a
project created by artists Jon Rubin
and Dawn Weleski, with culinary
direction by Chef Robert Sayre.
