The Mary Porter Sesnon Art Gallery is located at Porter College at the University of California Santa Cruz. Under the Division of the Arts, our exhibition programming supports student learning across disciplines and academic departments. Since 2015, the Sesnon Gallery has supported Porter College's Core curriculum through Creative Commons. First-year Porter students participate in creative art workshops to deepen their learning.
Our student internship program provide hands-on educational experience, teaching skills such as art handling, exhibition installation, and working with a museum collections digital database. Students play an integral role in the daily operations of our professional gallery and also manage the Sesnon Underground, a student-curated and organized exhibition space.
Some internships are Department sponsored. Not sure if you qualify? Talk to your Undergraduate Department adviser!
