The Sesnon Gallery encourages interdisciplinary discourse through the lens of the arts. Gallery hours are Tuesday–Saturday noon to 5:00pm. The gallery is located at Porter College, University of California, Santa Cruz and is wheelchair accessible. Admission is free and parking is free on Saturdays. Katerina Lanfranco lives and works in New York City. She was born in Canada and is fluent in French, German and English - and knows some meaningful words in Japanese. Recently in 2010 she completed a N.E.A. Creative Arts Fellowship 6-month residency in Kyoto, Japan. Her current exhibition entitled, Natural Selection, is inspired by various Japanese traditional arts and crafts techniques such as katagami (paper cutting)and ikebana (flower arrangement). She has a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz and an MFA from Hunter College in NYC. She is represented by the Nancy Hoffman Gallery in New York City. Ms. Lanfranco currently teaches art at the Museum of Modern Art, LIM College and Fordham University in NYC. She is also currently the low-residency artist-in-residence at UCSC.
