Associate Professor Enrique Leal participated in the 2021 Prague Bienal with artist and educator Barbara Benish with their video “Sowing Seeds”, a visualization of diverse life forms conveyed by a permaculture garden and the generative material properties of a seed pod sculpture.
Associate Professor Enrique Leal’s solo exhibition “Elliptical Emanation”, opened October 6th at (A)Void Gallery in Prague. As unmediated transcriptions of light and chemistry, the photogram series Elliptical Emanation converts the sun's projections of translucid receptacles into radiant and malleable shapes. The river embankments gallery space and pivoting portals designed by Czech architect Petr Janda serve as an aesthetic incentive to the cyanotypes and digital prints.
