ART 189: Special Topics: What Makes Us Human
A bioart & design course with professor Jennifer Parker
This interdisciplinary course is for students at any level, all backgrounds and majors interested in exploring the intersection of art and biology.
This class introduces students to a range of topics to create art and examine “What Makes Us Human” as part of the virtual project hosted by OpeLab, the Genomics Institue, and Porter Session Gallery at UCS Santa Cruz.
Students enrolled in the class will have the opportunity to participate in the exhibition and the 2021 Bioart Design Challenge with students from around the country.
