As more quality games are being produced by students at UCSC, the demand to further unite the Art and Video Game Design Department has increased. This year, art students were able to collaborate with game design students to create beautiful games, and promotional material for those games. During the last 2 or 3 weeks of spring quarter, the Art students created fantastic promotional posters for the games, as a graphic design project related to their work. The class (offered both in winter and spring this year) was Art 119--Special Topics in Drawing: Digital Drawing/Painting for Computer Game Design. The course was intended to support art students who worked as artists in collaboration with the CS 170 series project teams.  Starting next year, the class will become a regular offering in the Art curriculum. No longer a Special Topics course, it will be Art 118--Digital Drawing/Painting for Computer Game Design. Click Here to see the posters, all credited to the artists that made them
