VIRTUAL SENIOR SHOW: Kerstin van den Oever

My work is heavily influenced by mother nature, no matter what the medium is. My favorite is analog photography, with a variety of cameras. I aim to snap photos of landscapes that inspire and ground me. I hope to spark that love with others, while also seeking to promote the importance of respecting environments when exploring. I feel fortunate enough to be able to live in California, with the wide choices of terrain. During my third year, I had the opportunity to work in the woodshop on campus and immediately fell in love. I was determined to build furniture sustainably, that would last for generations to come. The use of materials and fast consumption have inspired me to work on making fast furniture, slow furniture.
