A series of gestural finger paintings on jean fabric that focus on temporality, identity and transformation.

Description: This canvas is made of jean fabric. Petates is influenced by the different women in my tribe and all over Mexico who sit to weave petates and see the way that they transform.

Description: This piece focuses on the intersections of different associations with the day 12 de diciembre. A celebration of life, hope and love, a representation of the 48 hours that I share with my birth mom.

Description: Guerrero focuses on my identity as an artist between sculptor and painter and "the Guerrero" my ancestors knew and the way artists expressed themselves in 500 BCE-200 CE. In particular the popular Olmec styles related to the pan-Mesoamerican ritual associated with spiritual/magical transformation between the natural world and humans.
