These paintings are from a series I did while taking part in an artist residency over the summer in Japan. My art at that time was focused on bridging the gap between my art and memories, and eventually through introspection, I realized the major factor light played in my ability to recall and create impactful, nostalgic memories. Overall, my art now seeks to connect light to not only memory, but various aspects of the human experience.
